Why Reboot Go there… Interesting little program that tells you why that program you just installed wants to be reboot your system. In the case of my WinAMP upgrade, it showed absolutely nothing that needed to be done, even though WinAMP wanted to reboot. WinAMP works quite well without the reboot. Go figure! It's now in my \bin32\. ★10:03 PM
Raw Like Sushi Go there… Paper models of sushi, including a turntable that you print, cut, fold, glue and there you have it. Japanese site, but there's enough English to work with. ★10:03 PM
Paper models Go there… Paper models of rockets (real and imagnined) and jets that you download, print, cut, fold and glue. Saturn V, Apollo, all sorts of stuff. ★8:54 PM
StarForce Drivers Removal Go there… How to remove the StarForce drivers (some games install this for copy protection). Evidently the drivers cause problems with CD drives, causing them to slow down horribly. ★6:36 PM
GREYCSTORATION Go there… Photomanipulation. Add noise, subtract noise, remove text from a photo, remove subtitles from a movie frame, resize an image. ★6:02 PM
Dune 7 Blog Index Go there… A blog from the authors about the continuing saga of Dune. I really with they had an RSS feed, but I guess I'll set this up on my Links to Monitor to keep up to date on this. ★4:13 PM
Figure out what else needs to go in the right hand column
Get comments working. Still not working :þ - Too damn lazy at this point.
Administrivia
I've already settled on a manual system for updating this blog
I've also added one line comments from me (optional of course)
Rendering issues - known (More administrivia)
IE won't display some of the favicon.ico graphics. Not on my Windows 2000 machine, but they inexplicably do show on my Windows XP machine. And other XP machines act similar
to my Windows 2000 machine, but usually a different mixture. Go figure. If it's a problem, go to Mozilla and download
either Mozilla 1.7.5 or later, or Firefox 1.0 or later. Unfortunately, Mozilla 1.7.5 (which is what I use) has (had?) issues with this blog, and I am waiting with bated breath for
1.8 to come out myself. I have no idea what this looks like with Firefox. Actually, I don't know what the hell the issue(s) I was having were at this point. It is now (at least was!)
w3c compliant, last time I checked, and I've done everything I can in the automation to make sure that it remains that way.Oh yeah, that's it. Blockquotes are screwed up.
