Sean Hannity's Top 10 List of (Extremely Stupid) Conservatism

Sean Hannity is a pussy (posse?)
Hannity's Top 10 Items of Conservatism

1) To be the Candidate of National security:
a) Victory in Iraq
Whatever that is. Iraq is not and has never been a threat to our national security! We kicked Hussein's ass. According to Shrub, we took out the bad man. When does the madness stop?
b) Fully support NSA, Patriot act, tough interrogations, keeping Gitmo open
Support NSA? What does that mean exactly? The Patriot Act, passed because everybody was told that we had to have it, only to be used not in ways intended by the very Congress that passed, and considered by many former supporters to now be nothing but bullshit. And if we have to keep Gitmo open because we don't even trust our own courts in these legal manners, you Mr. Hannity are seriously fucked in the head!
c) A Candidate that pledges to NOT demean our military while they are fighting for their Country. eg Harry Reid: "the surge has failed", "the war is lost"
So conservatives are against the 1st Amendment? More batshit right wing nonsense!
d) Candidate that promises to ensure that our veterans can live out their lives in dignity.
I agree on this point. But your own Republican candidate routinely voted the opposite way on this. Why did you support him if this is so important?
2) The Candidate who pledges to oppose Appeasement:
a) The Candidate will oppose any and all efforts to negotiate with dictators of the world in places like Iran, Syria, N.Korea, Cuba, and Venezuela without "pre-conditions"
That's funny. President Nixon and President Reagan did that themselves, and with Reagan being the current gold standard for conservatism, I'd have to say that you've already made this one null and void.
3) The Candidate Pledges to support Tax CUTS, and fiscal responsibility:
Ok…
a) The American people are NOT under taxed, Government Spends too much
Wrong on the first, but right on the second. You must be backing the wrong party, the Democrat Bill Clinton actually got the budget balanced his last two years, unlike Shrub who has managed to double the debt that this country now faces in his 8 years. Your own candidates don't meet this mark!
b) The Candidate who Pledges to ELIMINATE and VOTE AGAINST ALL Earmarks
What is the big deal with earmarks. They are such a tiny percentage of the budget… Let's start with the big expenses first if we are trying to cut spending instead of making insignificant efforts.
c) The Candidate pledges to BALANCE the budget
Again, Clinton did. Shrub has been talking about it out his ass. Shrub has had his own party in control for six years and he didn't do squat.
4) The Candidate Pledges to be a supporter of "Energy Independence"
a) supports Immediate drilling in Anwar and the 48 states
I've already blogged about how stupid drilling is, and the fact that the existing leases aren't even being used right now. I do not want to see my house covered in crude oil after a hurricane strikes and covers everything with crude. Hurricanes aren't a maybe here, they're a definite 100% probability.
b) Building new refineries
Take care of the NIMBY* problem and that should be a problem. I'll just say that's one hell of a problem you're going to have to solve.
c) Begin building and using Nuclear Facilities
Probably. But the US hasn't built one nuclear facility on time, on budget. Until you can actually promise that, it's not going to happen. And you still have to deal with the NIMBY problem again, if it isn't worse than the subpoint b. And it is.
d) expand coal mining
I didn't know that coal mining was being pushed back.
e) realistic steward of the environment
Define realistic.
While simultaneously working with private industry to develop the new energy technologies for the future, with the goal being that America becomes completely energy independent within the next 15 years.
That sounds nice. Haven't we supposedly been working on this since the 70's and the gas lines? Surely you're old enough to remember those. With Shrub the oil man in office for the past 8 years, why hasn't there been some kind of progress? You have no specifics, just like 4 decades ago.
5) The Candidate pledges to secure our borders completely within 12 months:
a) build all necessary fences
Fences for keeping others out, or keeping us in? Illegal immigration is not the problem that you think it is.
b) use all available technology to help and support agents at the border
We've already got one blank check (two?) written for the wars that are currently going on, we shouldn't be writing another one.
c) train and hire agents as needed
Duh?
6) Healthcare:
The Candidate will look for Free-Market solutions to the problems facing the Healthcare industry, and will vigorously oppose any efforts to "nationalize healthcare".
Free markets. Like the free markets of the CDOs and CDSs and the bankrupt Wall Street firms, and the bankrupt insurance companies. There is no such thing as a free market. I don't see anything but a single payer system working.
a) The Candidate will fight for Individual health savings accounts, that includes "catastrophic insurance" for every American, so people can control their own healthcare choices.
HSAs aren't a cure. And you have to be be currently making enough of a wage, definitely more than most people are making nowadays, to be able to put money in the account to start with.
7) Education:
a) The Candidate pledges to "save" American children from the failing educational system
Start be rescinding or fully funding the No Child Left Behind Act. Maybe actually returning a modicum of control back to the local level.
b) The Candidate will fight to break the unholy alliance of the Democratic party and teachers unions, which at best has institutionalized mediocrity, and has failed children across the country
This is a judgment call, and I'd have to say a very stilted judgment call.
c) fight for "CHOICE" in education and let parents decide
Vouchers? Hold the voucher schools to the same standards as the public schools first. But the Eight Ball says… Nope!
d) fight for vouchers for parents
Nope
8) Social Security and Medicare:
a) The Candidate will "save" social security and medicare from bankruptcy.
Social Security may not need much saving. Medicare? Solve the health care problem and you solve the Medicare problem.
b) Options will include "private retirement" funds so people can "control" their own destiny.
Yeah, just like everybody's 401(k) plans right now. Right in the fucking toilet, down the sewer.
9) Judges
a) The Candidate vows to support ONLY judges who recognize that their job is to interpret the Constitution, and NOT legislate from the bench.
Not going to happen. Their job is not just to interpret the Constitution, but also the laws put in front of them. If you're talking about the SCOTUS, it's the conservative judges who have caused you so much pain.
10) American Dream:
The Candidate accepts as their duty and responsibility to educate, inform, and remind people that with the blessings of Freedom comes a Great responsibility. That Government's primary goal is to preserve, protect and defend our God given gift of freedom.
Nice, but just exactly what are those responsibilities? What you list in the previous 9? Tapping Americans phones just because they make an international call is not our responsibility, and is in fact against the Constitution that you so to protect. At least those parts that you agree with it. Torture is our responsibility? I don't think so. Holding people outside of our country just to ensure that they don't receive our justice?

I find this outlook both despicable and hypocritical. On all 10 items on your list. You, sir, are a talking asshat. You are not a conservative. You are a so-called neocon, and you and all the other neocons have just your asses handed to you by this month's election.
