The sticky notes at the front of the page

blue stars for my 3 MPs (no, not my MP3s...)

Blogroll has moved to a new page. It was just too huge (close to 1000 blogs in Bloglines) and helps the page load time tremendously. Blogrolling.com just sucks, and Bloglines has too much. Oh, and I have updated Blogrolling.

Have a nice day!

My True Love Is a …

Your True Love Is a Capricorn

Why you'll love a Capricorn:

Hard working and driven, a Capricorn will work overtime to win your heart.
Be prepared to get wined and dined, even once you're convince that your Capricorn is the one!

Why a Capricorn will love you:

You don't rush things. You know it will take a while for a Capricorn to trust you, and you can wait.
Social and outgoing, you can introduce normally shy Capricorn to a great circle of friends.

Geico is a Snob?

Geico is a Snob? - Consumerist
GEICO was accused Monday of tying education and occupation to auto insurance rates, a policy that may discriminate against minorities and lower-income workers.

In a March 14 letter to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, the Consumer Federation of America (CFA) said “Geico’s methodology is reprehensible because not everyone has the opportunity or can afford to pursue a four-year college degree.”
Along with your credit score.

<rant>I consider insurance, especially auto insurance to be a neccessary evil, but no less an evil. Due to a very bad experience with State Farm 30 years ago. (Maybe a blog entry about that later. Maybe not.) Maybe it's been the fact that every time I've had to deal with any auto insurance company since, it feels like pure sleaze. That's why I let The_Rose deal with that now.</rant>

It gets back to that old saw, correlation does not imply causation. Having a ticket, or an accident I can see causuality. What my job is, what my credit score is? Not really.

It's a general problem with today's society, as

Republicans look to a future without Bush

John Whitesides wrote:
"I'm for any Republican who can get elected," said Craig Capehart of Dallas, Texas. "It would be nice if they also had policies that would be good for the country."
OK, so you want a Republican that get elected. The second part is truly scary. So, Mr. Capehart could care less if it's a RINO (Republican In Name Only) as long as they are electable. Policy comes in a very weak second. No wonder the Republican party is so fucked up.

Between the Performancing Firefox extension blowing up in my face (I couldn't publish to my blog), and when I actually tried to use Blogger to publish, it was having a bad day…

I'm not having any fun!

Result of Quiz :: What New Battlestar Galactica character are you?

You scored as Commander William Adama. You have risen to your position by being damn good at what you do. Not only that, you have the deepest respect for the people under your command. You may be a little grumpy and unapproachable, but every commander needs to distance himself. Shame that you apply that to your children too.

One of those things that piss me off.

Glowrings are a crock of shit
We now only sell glowrings to UK Customers!
Hey shitheads!

Yes, you!

This is supposedly a global economy. You are using a USA .com address. Zip it right now. The top level .com address is for USA businesses. Now I really don't care what you are actually, especially if you are selling to US customers. Now that quote is definately in your site at this day and time. Which tells me, you should never have gotten that .com address. You should have stuck with .co.uk (which amazingly, you do actually own...)

No wonder the 'net is going to hell in a handbasket.
