Pausing for a moment to get caught up on personal things
What fun *cough* I'm having at this point
Sometime in July, I went to Villano Beach and fell on some barnacle covered rocks. Where I scraped the inside of my calves, it hurt real bad. But it did heal. I also scraped (I thought) the outside of my left ankle bone. It turned infected soon after my calf scrapings healed, and despite using over 1½ tubes of Neosporin on it, going through one round of antibiotic treatment, and this week starting another week of oral antibiotics and getting a shot of penicillin I am now scheduled with an appointment for the Wound Center here in Orange Park for them to check it out. I'm not running a fever and it is not hurting that bad so the doctors are ready to test me to death.
The_Rose came home last night, as Ernesto didn't cause any problems for her to come home, although her original flight got canceled, so she still flew in latter than expected. She's home for next week as well a good thing.
She has an appointment this afternoon for a CT scan, and she (and I!) are getting a TB skin test next Tuesday. Turns out that both Sparx and Garfield have now tested positive for TB. And if we show positive, then we'll have to get Hattrick and the daughter in for testing as well.
Also on the Sparx/Garfield front, Sparx will now be driving a better armored vehicle. The window he'll have to see through is only 3" x 6". Not a whole lot to see through. I also found out this week that he gets shot at on a daily basis. Snipers are firing at him. Yesterday he finally nailed one that was shooting at him from a mosque tower. I find the use of a mosque tower for a sniping spot to be… unsettling.
Nothing unusual going on with the cats, Loupe is still looking for love, Hairy hounds me for food, Grizelle has been dozing in my room, Greybeard has actually begged for some loving from me, getting up on my shoulders, and rubbing me where ever he can reach from that position, Kitto either just lays around and I scratch him, or he comes to me hollering about something, and the only time I figured out what he wanted was when the water bowl was dry, and Kali just asks for the occasional scratching every now and then.
Update:
Fixed the formatting, I put in </p>s when I should have been putting in <p />s, so I just stuck with Blogger formatting. Since this is where I'm editing it at.
I haven't tried to edit a published post via Live Writer yet.
I'm also finding that for some reason, I'm having trouble with typos. K just fixed a bunch in this post that I wasn't aware of. I still can't believe that Blogger does not have blogger in their dictionary. Sheesh! Permanent link posted by bytehead @ 8/31/2006 11:28:00 AM
