If we're going to send hundreds of thousands of young men and women into harm's way, the least we could do is not fuck with their paychecks.

Interesting. Garfield was deployed overseas two weeks before Sparx was, although Garfield is actually 6 months ahead of Sparx. Garfield got all of his COLA and adjustments for being in Afghanistan as soon as he was there. Sparx is still waiting for his COLA to start showing up in his paycheck, hopefully at the end of this month. I really do think the Army is playing games with soldiers' pay checks. Another reason why Rummy has to go IMNSHO.
