Sunday lyrics

Flower
by Moby

Green sally up
And green sally down
Lift and squat
Gotta tear the ground

Ol' Miss Lucy's dead and gone
Left me hear to weep and moan

Green sally up
And green sally down
Lift and squat
Gotta tear the ground

Ol' Miss Lucy's dead and gone
Left me hear to weep and moan

Green sally up
And green sally down
Lift and squat
Gotta tear the ground

Ol' Miss Lucy's dead and gone
Left me hear to weep and moan

Green sally up
And green sally down
Lift and squat
Gotta tear the ground

Ol' Miss Lucy's dead and gone
Left me hear to weep and moan

I read where this was a childs song played by black children on slave plantations. the colors would change depend on who in the group was wearing ehsy. sort of a pre simon says. the correct lyrics should read "green sally up, green sally down. Last one squt, gotta tear the ground" (probably reference to digging a row in miss lucy's garden. There were additional lyrics not included about to the effect if you like this fold your arms and if you dont like this clap your hands. Supposed to have given meaning to if you approved or disapproved of miss lucy's being dead and gone, if she was liked or disliked. fyi
