I was going to write something here.
I updated the router firmware. Wondered why my IP changed. I finally go through settings and find out that it forgot my cloned MAC, so I set it up again. I promptly got another different IP address. Again. I'm using homeip.net for dynamic DNS naming, so it's not a big issue. My FTP program however needs to know what my current IP is, so I had to change that. I hate Linksys.
It took forever for the IM proggies and other associated internet programs running that my cable IP had changed. Also, my cable modem went from a mask of 255.255.254.0 to 255.255.252.0, so I went from 512 posible users on the segment to 1024 users. Or is that 2048? Blah! Oh well. So much for 3 megabit downloads...
Sparx now has a second job. This should be quite interesting...
