What a sucky Christmas

Christmas didn't go over too well this year.

Sparx was missing. But The_Rose did have him talked into coming over for desert Christmas Eve night. Then Garfield had to call him up and bitch, and there went even the ghost of a chance of that happening. I don't care if Garfield or Deb or anybody else says that there was no chance of Sparx coming over, Garfield raising hell with him guaranteed that he wouldn't.

The_Rose and I had a fight that night. Over something I have to call silly, if not stupid. And attacking me about it at 1AM after I've spent a lot of my day in feverish hallucination really didn't help matters for me. I left. I almost went to her, and screamed, "Yes, I'm all those things that you say I am, so I guess I should just leave!". I didn't say boo instead. I went off for a drive. Drove to a beach, where I thought it would be warmer. Temperature must have been in the low 40's, upper 30's, with a good wind going. In my shorts and short sleeves, I just had way too much exposed skin to be able to deal with it. Of course, being sick (still) didn't help me in the least either. I finally came back home about 4:30AM. I slept in Garfield's room since he had decided to sleep in the TV room. I got up later, and managed to fall asleep in my chair in the TV room. I almost went to the ER instead of home. I swear I had walking pneumonia, the way I was weezing away that night (and that morning).

We got things straightened out between us. I understand why she got upset. I also explained a few things to her of why some things happened the way they did.

But I swear if I have another Christmas like this one, or the year before, bytehead won't be doing any more Christmases. It's already a bad time for me mentally, and adding the crap that's been going on really is making me rethink things.

The day after Chrismas, I got hit with the question "Would you give up your computers for me?" I gave her the only possible answer there could be. She choose not to believe me. Talk about your lose-lose scenario.

The fight was our first fight that we've had. Ever. I guess that's pretty amazing for some people after 2 ½ years of marriage. We tend to have things worked out before we get to that point. We tend to agree with each other on a lot of things. This fight... Eh... It wasn't much of a fight, I wouldn't even call it a fair fight (1AM in the morning with somebody who's sick and has not been in their right mind) as I really didn't get a chance to respond. I just got mad.

I'm sure that there's more fallout to come from this Christmas. And I'm not looking forward to it.
