Saturday chores
The_Rose wants her old dryer fixed (which is newer than my dryer, which we're using right now), and the washing machine fixed so that it doesn't take forever to fill with water, and that means cleaning the garage out. Garfield and Sparx helped. Garfield took all the dead bikes, put them in his pick'em up truck and took them to the police.
At least 12 big black bags of trash hit the street. I just hope they take them all away Monday. And that doesn't include the three trash containers with the rest of the internal house garbage (that didn't hit the street Thursday morning like it should have!)
I did get the washer fixed. I took the cold water hose off at the faucet, and found it full of junk. I thought the hose itself was blocked, but I stuck my finger in the washer's inlet and found the smaller pieces of rust that had gone through the hose. Luckily, GE put a nice screen in place so that it didn't go through the machine itself. Got that cleaned out, and now I'm running the machine without anything to wash it out. That should help speed up getting laundry done around here.
Meanwhile, when we sent Garfield out, we sent Sparx out with him, and promptly had a meltdown because his girlfriend called while he wasn't here. And since he didn't have permission to leave the house, he was up the creek without a paddle. I have tried and tried to get through to him that the relationship is not a healthy one, and is in fact toxic. It doesn't help that he just lies to get out of the issues instead of just facing them. I've been accused of being "whipped" by both of them, and I think both of them are finding out that I'm not as "whipped" as they both seem to be.
I'm working on BB2 right now. It's a green color scheme, although that's going to change. No more tables! I think! :P~
