Now we're having fun!
My internet connection went down at 6:30PM today. I called Comcast to see what was up. It only took me 15 minutes to go through voicemail hell to get to a person, and when I finally got through the first time, it dropped me. There's nothing like going through the same set of menus 6 times to get through. I assumed that it was because the volume of calls, but I was informed when I finally connected with somebody that there were no known outtages. The best they could do was get a technician to me
36 hours later! It might not have been so bad, but I
still don't have a working power supply on my modem so that I could at least dial up. I would have forwarded the phone to The_Rose's cell phone, and put the modem on the router and shared the connection. It would have been slow, but it would have worked. And incoming phone calls would have not been a problem.
But, it came back up around 10:30PM, and I called back to tell them to cancel the appointment. The menu was still screwed, but it only went through the menu twice for me to get somebody. And they confirmed that there was indeed an outage starting around
duh! 6:30PM.
Well, one more thing to do, then I'm off to bed.
